Quality Director
Our Client’s Challenge
A troubled pharma manufacturing facility in the Northeast USA was acquired by our client, an international pharmaceutical company which intended to turn around and expand both the R&D and manufacturing capabilities to serve the American market. To do this, a new Quality Director was required to bring together the team and produce consistently high quality standards.
Our Approach and the Agreement/ Our Response
Our life sciences practice took the brief from our client. Our client shared the context and our team probed to ensure we understood the complex environment and the array of technical and soft skills required by the client in their search for a new Quality Director.
The Process
Thorough qualification was required due to the delicate and complex environment at the manufacturing facility. Since there was a huge research effort, there were many good candidates to qualify. These were whittled down to 5 top candidates whose CVs and Populus Profiles were submitted.
Of these candidates, there were four candidates selected for first interview and then second further interviews and a site visit for our ultimately successful candidate.
Client Outcomes
1. A Quality Director taking Control
Our successful candidate went into the newly acquired manufacturing facility and used her people skills to rally and build the team.
2. Further Hires
After a period of employee ‘churn’, stability was restored and further hires to build the team for the planned expansion of work were made. Populus Select was commissioned to fulfil these hires.
